Does an indian citizen working & resident in qatar, would a uk tourist visa permit/include a visit to ireland?
I am an Indian citizen working & residing in Qatar, planning for a tour to UK in July Aug 2008 with family wife & one child both of Indian Citizenship & Qatari Resident . Would a UK Tourist VISA obtained in Qatar allow us to travel to Ireland for three to four days or do we have to apply for separate VISA to enter Ireland ? If separate VISA to Ireland is required, then how & where do we apply ?

I have a Chinese friend whose employer, a university, is sending some of its teachers to a three week training program in England. Since it is an organised group activity, she will have no trouble getting a visa. But she has a toddler whom she does not want to leave in China and wants to take this child and her husband to care for the baby along with her. Her husband is a gainfully employed software engineer. They both have money, education, ties to their community in China, and have no desire to overstay in UK. Would it help if I wrote a character reference letter for her husband to submit with their visa applications? I would gladly guarantee their expenses if they happened to have an accident or emergency while traveling there, but do not think that would do any good since I am not British or other European. Any advice?

Im employed in IT industry and im planning to visit UK for a week as a visitor to meet my fiancee.She s also Indian nationality and her course ends in november 2010 and we are getting married in Januray2011 in India. Im planning to visit through the packaged tour program offered by Thomas Cook though its expensive . I have the following docs 1. Leave sanction letter from my employer 2. Bank Savings around 2.3Lakhs 3. Fixed deposits worth 5Lakhs and Life Insurance premiums 4. Four wheeler registered in my name 5. Salary Slips 6. IT returns form 16 What are my chances of getting my visa as a visitor and do i need to add more supporting documents. Thanks
